CME Course on Issues in Women’s Health
This CME program is oriented to primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and other health professionals involved in women’s health. Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Recognize and manage common symptoms of depression and other psychiatric disorders in women
- Describe the management and treatment of abnormal pap smears and HPV
- Identify current strategies for managing osteoporosis, thyroid disorders and obese patients
- Discuss the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)
- Distinguish between ovulatory and anovulatory uterine bleeding and other menstrual abnormalities and select appropriate treatment options
- Explain the process of menopausal transition (climacteric) and describe the potential risks/benefits of HRT option, especially in relation to breast cancer and cardiovascular disease

American Academy of Family Physicians – This program has been reviewed and is acceptable for 11 Prescribed hours by the American Academy of Family Physicians.
American Osteopathic Association – This program is approved for 11 hours in Category 2-A by the American Osteopathic Association.
American Academy of Physician Assistants – AAPA accepts Category 1 CME approval from the AAFP and organizations accredited by the ACCME to grant category 1 hours towards the PRA.
American Nursing Accreditation – Medical Education Resources is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Colorado Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center?s Commission on Accreditation. This CE activity provides 11 contact hours. Provider approval expires July 31, 2010.

Program Format
This course is normally held on three half-day morning sessions on Friday-Sunday, or on Thursday-Saturday (when outside the U.S.). Continental breakfast is provided each meeting day.
